Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

What Intel should do with the mobile division

enough of the moaning. here i outline a strategic plan for mobile:

  1. Intel needs to ammortize The costs. like mcafee Intel should try and create a joint venture with Apple. they should sell a controlling stake (51%) to Apple for $1. Apple should finance core modem development with Intel financing derivatives.

  2. sites should be restricted to Austin, SanDiego and bay area.

  3. only Apple will staff management positions. Apple effectively manages projects now anyway. The entire management at Intel should be fired up to and including Aicha with immediate effect.

  4. all Intel engineers are required to interview again for their positions.

Apple doesn't need more money via contra revenue and loss leader deals on modems, at the expense of inefficient management and design teams and subpar performance. They do need a competitive answer to Samsung and Google and that's not coming from Intel. Look at the Fortune magazine that just came out today naming Zuckenberg as CEO of the year. Nvidia is there as a runner up, along with Amazon, Microsoft and many others. Intel and BK are never mentioned (nor are IBM or HP).

The train left Intel behind long ago and it's not coming back.

Apple does everything better than intel. In a few short years they converted an average design team into a huge monster doing chips with superior PPAC than intel. In TSMC 7 they will wipe Icelake.

But they know intel is desperate so likely will take pity and show what can be down with takent and focus instead of intel ppt bs monkeys

Cool Story Bro.

Why Apple should at all be bothered with INTEL (mess) Inside? Because INTEL modems (contra revenue)?

Even contra revenue would not save INTEL. So be it! ;-)

Did you know Apple’s new Intel driven MacBook Pros have a secondary ARM processor that runs Touch ID and security? How long do you think Apple is going to let Intel be the supplier for all of its core CPUS?

Apple is getting a good taste as to how messed up Intel is. This thing with the modem will be the last straw. Bye bye Intel. Apple is counting the days before it will ditch Intel all together as a non-competitive CPU. Fact. The Intel graphics solution as compared to the iPhone Apple ARM based is pathetic. That says volumes.
