Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Huge Honeywell reorg in Jan 2017

Honeywell Aerospace going away from customer focus to product focus and putting Carl Espisitos M&PM org at the helm. This is the organization that says put 90% margin on everything. The same org that says to the customer facing business team "what choice do they have if we are so,e source, where they gonna go", and my favorite, "tell the customer anything, tell them the system performs how they want it to, tell them they can have any color they want as long as it is black"

Honeywell is on its way out of the Aerospace business, they just won't admit it yet.

ALT is at a loss for why they can't sell product after they designated the sales teams and put M&PM in charge. they have no clue how to control costs other than to cut head count

AirBus is calling Honeywell its worst supplier and Lockheed Martin has blocked any new business with Honeywell over its quality and delivery ratings being 100% RED with no plans to recover.

No reorg can fix what they can't see is wrong, there is no method for People To convey what is wrong with the business.

If you can't manage successfully, you can always re-organize.

There are three things that ALT can do immediately to fix costs and improve revenue:

  1. Lean out HOS- too much time wasted on non value events/projects/metrics that do not generate dollars

  2. Improve sourcing team- faulty lead time accuracy with our suppliers and no sense of urgency or accountability

  3. Reduce the overhead above the site level, cut out multi-site leaders, op-exs, director support staff-there is an old saying for this "too many cooks spoil the pot!

As they are proving to be incapable of effectively managing a RIF, and have effectively mis-managed most everything else in the past few years to make them progressively worse, it is very doubtful that they are remotely capable of coming up with a reorg to undo the damage. Look for any attempt to do so to only make matters worse, and thus their preference is to unload their mess on some other company, But none are interested now. Wonder why?

LOL! It's exactly the same in video. You have no idea how many messes tech support has had to clean up due to "over-zealous" (aka lying) salesmen.
