A few things to note for my store. I was off for two days and they shipped out half of my tires. The tire specials are what Auto is featuring for Black Friday and the deals are for in-stock tires only. I am running low on batteries and merchandise as well. My master tech said that our tire restock on Monday was only 20 tires when in the past was usually over 200.
This morning I went to go find the Black Friday circular which did not run in my local Sunday paper. I had acquired a copy on Sunday night. I asked the FLS manager where the circulars were and she asked why I wanted any. I need one for reference purposes at least so I asked for two since we have two terminals. She explicitly told me that these were not to be given to customers even though she had boxes of them in her office under close guard. What?
Later in the day, one of the guys from appliances came by and stoically said that yesterday he had an order for 60 washer and dryer units for a new apartment complex that is going up. Management cancelled his order on the grounds that it would "screw up their PA's".
Why would you do any of that? I can't be good and we are leased store to the best of my knowledge. Yes, there have been some new people around and one of which is the store manager who's store was closed in North Dakota. There is a another corporatey guy that he been around for about a month and half now and while I got along with him when I first met him he is more of d--k now than anything. I don't know what his title is.
I think we are done for. What do you folks think? I have only been around since June so I don't know if this is commonplace but I have never seen a business "run" this way. Something foul this way comes I am afraid.
