"Man this new job s---s compared to my job at Honeywell" said no RIF victim ever. There is better, MUCH better, outside of HON. Imagine going to work without the fear of getting tapped on the shoulder. That alone is a perk worth leaving Honeywell for. Otherwise, you could be like me and wait till someone decides you aren't worth keeping around and dump you like a piece of trash.
I heard Honeywell and Fairchild semi-conductor (now ON) are merging. The new company will be called Fairwell Honeychild.
Up until now severance has been one week pay for each year of service up to (26) weeks. The latest rumor (no official communication) is employees that are RIF'd in 2017 will receive one week of pay for each two years of service of up to (13) weeks, basically half of the current severance pkg.
What is the typical package, 2 weeks per year of service?
Understand now when you get rif'd and you sign your severance papers there is a clause where you must agree not to talk disparagingly about Honeywell - or forfeit the pay. Get it all out while you are employed!!
Convert the buildings to an outhouse motif. I'll put in a c/I.
That's awesome, honeypot. Actually I think a honeypot might smell better. :)
