Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

will Intel be as generous with packages if profits crash?

many people might be hanging on to their jobs in Intel hoping for another focal windfall. with ACT the management could disguise it as badly needed restructuring to more profitable opportunities. however will investors look so kindly when it's just cost cutting to maintain margins?

10nm will crush margins with the squeeze coming in 2017, and crushing levels in 2018.

Gone is anything generous is all but guranteed!

I see future severance packages being similar to the past or even better. 2016 package was better than 2015. Intel cannot afford to pis- off more folks yet again.

Intel model is clear, lose money in bad times and break even in good times.....thanks to the cheap labor that tuned high tech engineers into hi tech factory workers.......

No, they will NOT be as generous as in the past. ACT 2016 was the last of them being generous.
