Dvp will get the shopping block. Less middle managers.

so sad. i think many people are going to lose their jobs. the stores arent producing the numbers they use to and people are buying online.
my questions are....are they going to get rid of hrm's and replace them with coordinators? how does salesforce.com and the hr reinvent play into this?? aren't some of those people gone already?
mtm's...there has been talk about changing that structure for a long time. i wonder if it will happen now??
I agree I'm starting to think this may be the biggest restructure we've ever faced. I mean, we know we're closing 15% of our business, that alone is going to cut hundreds of jobs. Then the restructuring with the company will cut hundreds more. It's a bit dismal lately, hard to maintain hope for a future when everything is up in the air.
Right now, we're all waiting ducks hoping for the best, knowing our future with the company can be cut short in a few more weeks/months.

it feels like 2010 when they laid off a ton of people and restructured the stores with AST.
Thanks for the info... Did not know as new in the company... Most other retailers I worked for did it after inventory but I am not surprised that Macys does not care about inventory. Ha... Good luck everyone and how do you think other departments will be hit other then HR... How about sales managers, MTMs, AP, and OPs?

Macys doesn't care about inventory.
They report to the stock holders. The stock is in the toliet so Macys has to act and swift.

yes!!! big!! already some ddhr's are taking packages. many positions will be cut and the remaining employees are expected to do more work. the company is not making the profit they want!! you hear about many more cuts!!! so sad!!! good luck!!!!!!!!!!
