overall, Q is probablly better. Avago err, broadcom buys companies, uses the current technology until it is obsolete, then sells the bits. on and on it goes with Avago.
from an investment point of view, Avago does great for short term stock appreciation.
in every way, AVGO has been a better stock to own then QCOM
Corruption at qcom knows no bounds. If you are in the right group, four years from staff to principal. Other groups you can actually do good work (there are probably three groups like this- rest is buddy-buddy)
But if you are in one of three interesting groups, the work can be quite interesting from engineering perspective. Good luck in finding these groups!!!

As a business person that likes does mergers acquisitions and layoffs....Broadcom...
Avago doesn't really do engineering. They buy companies, chop them up, sell them. And repeats the process.
Qualcomm is better.
Qualcomm = corruption
Broadcom = lack of technology
