Anyone hearing any rumbles for a VRIF for corporate Functional employees i.e. HR, Finance, IT. They had a recent re-org and it seems like a lot of overhead and dead weight in Corporate.

I work in IT moving to CORP on 1/1. 99% of my team are India contractors. Very few FT HON IT employees left - easily 10 RIFS in the last 8 years. Not a great place to work in IT. But, that could be said for any area in HON I guess. Hopefully 2017 will find me a better job.
They had a VRIF in Security and Fire (HSF) not too many people took it and they are now part of the 1 week furlough. HSF is a complete mess, very poor leadership from outside the industry.
Morris Plains has nap rooms.
Can you imagine a site doing something like that?
Corporate governance will be the last to go.
They need to RIF the overhead in HW Aerospace, starting with multi-site leaders (Space & Defense) and all their support staff, Op Exs, HOS Analysts. If you are not at a site level or contribute to production then you must go! It is a simple formula Production equals revenue, cut the cost with getting rid of people who do not contribute directly to production.
When they move the functional SBG employees to Corp. on Jan. 1st, knowing HW, they are doing so to consolidate and cut costs. Cost cuts = RIF's. I will volunteer.
There's been dead weight at corporate for years, but unfortunately it's at the top and they aren't going to do anything about that.
