No respect for people on Vacation!

Welcome to the new Hon Aero era, so-called leaders with no leadership, calling their teams or emailing them while they are on vacation with their families. But when the leaders go on vacation "don't even dare bothering them" . After a long, high pressured year, were everyone in sourcing and procurement got berated, yelled at, micromanaged , by Senior Directors and VP's, everyone was just looking for maybe 2 weeks or even 1 week not thinking about work and spending a nice Christmas with our kids.

But now, we have reached new levels, they don't care we are in a ski lodge spending quality time with our families, they still demand for us to get on a call and work while we sacrifice our family time, very sad after 12 yrs with this company.

I had the same experience while sailing on my yacht through the Bahamas. No respect at all.

If the job requires you to be on call, it's on you. If you are on vacation however and you still read work emails and pick up work phone, it's a 100% on you. If you don't have the spine to stay up to your management, it's on you.

When I'm on vacation even the great king cote himself can't even reach me.

Not for nothing, anyone who works for sourcing or procurement in Honeywell (HBT / SPS specifically) doesn't deserve time off and should be berated. Talk about clueless and broken processes. When a group needs to add months to a project to account for the long, drawn out and severely broken procurement process or have critical contracts expire because some idiots in procurement don't get the big picture and don't care then they should start being held accountable and fired never mind have uninterrupted time off.

Now to the guy calling names. We deserve to spend our time away any way we want to. If you live pay check to pay check, that's your fault. It's funny you talk about blessings then use language that reserved for gutter trash.

I share the sentiment, if you are in sourcing, believe me it's not an option you will still get blamed, year end numbers is what ALT cares about.

If you have a job on call....nothing to complain about....

If you are on family time and CHOOSE to answer the phone and comply, that is 100% on you...

I don't respond when I'm not at work....when they say "hey we tried to call you", I smile and say, oh,what ya need?
