Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

I called and was told that until they open the envelope they have not officially received the paperwork, even when it was delivered to them on the 25th, Really Lowes

Still waiting - I've been biting my tongue for a long time now - I received paper work saying my last day was the 27th - was supposed to be the 21st. Also my SM was sloppy and incompetent describing the next steps ? Are we getting a pay check Friday ? Never saw a company so sloppy -where's my motha f---in $ ?

For those of you who wish to sign, here is my suggestion - write in a contingency before signing your name. Something that goes like this: "My signing this agreement is contingent upon full payment as specified in your contract within _ days. If monies are not paid within these days this contract is null and void from the date I signed it. You also agree that you or I have no right whatsoever to take any legal action against each other after payment is made and your electronic records are null and void concerning those of us who signed your contract. Note: The above contract should be signed by representatives of Lowe's such as HR or Store Manager in front of a Notary (impartial witness) and copies should be made for both parties." If Lowe's refuses to give you some protection they are probably trying to screw you.
