For those of you who were kicked to the curb after years of service to the company. Be honest, do you miss Intel and find life as you know it to be over ever since being let go?

I miss my colleagues - bright, hard-working, sincere engineers. The bureaucracy, not so much. The leadership? That was missing the whole 5 years I spent at Intel.
Don't miss it one bit. Intel was a horrible, toxic, political, futile place to work.
Missed daily TF and rants from arrogant senior managers who lost the ability to listen once they got to grade 10
I miss Intel :-(, just not Focal. Had I survived the purge I would probably be very stressed right now
I really miss sitting in conference rooms with no windows and a fog of stress stink arguing over small details that make zero difference. I miss my gender ambiguous Indian boss choreographing how we will throw our (supposed to be) partner organization under the bus in front of his-her boss in order to win favor for our own tribe. I miss being the lone owg in the group and beating my head in futility trying to climb above the zero raise ssl4 bar. Shame on me for not realizing it was a click, not a meritocracy. I don't know what to do with myself now that all the stress and futility has been taken from my life.

Yes, I miss Intel's Focals. I miss the meetings and ARs and Status Reports. My life has not been the same since I had to give those up.

Hmm make similar money, options are growing to larger than what my intel bale was. No a$$ hole managers yelling at me... hmm
Don't need to jump and do silly things due to micromanaging untrusting and arrogant managers who are ruining LTD and TMG on 14 and 10nm 🤔

There are no Einsteins left at Intel.
I miss dealing with cutting edge technology. I miss being on the receiving end of a fire hose of information. I miss the people, not all, but most. I miss the astonishment when I hear facts being twisted to fit the presenters purpose. I miss the juicy gossip. I do not miss top down edicts, I do not miss the threats to tell upper management, when the flaws in thinking are pointed out. I do not miss the mandatory training. I do not miss the culture of yearly Darwinian culling (imagine 10 Einsteins and 1 must go, because of policy). I do not miss living in a 6x8 holding pen. I miss the idea of bottom up planning and staffing for success, but to be truthful, I missed that even while employed.
