So shrills how is intel 10nm doing? Without a ramp by Q3 intel won't have a competive new product to answer what will surely be eye popping new features on the iPhone8 manufactured in TSMC 10nm .
Already one can see how ARM cores wipe intel in PPAC with an inferior process and once they gain superiority in 2017 and 2018 you can guess what will happen

On a serious note, Icelake volume likely available no later than 2018 best case. Don't call a few units in 2017 a launch, full ramp of key chains at the moment is all that is happening. That will bust margins and make for fun time for TMG, fun is what they are having I hear 😉

Layoffs in 2014 Q2, 2015 Q2, and 2016 Q2. The pattern would suggest to keep an eye on Q1 results in April. Best guess is they'll resort to "department-level" cuts if they perceive a need to cut. I can't imagine another large high-visibility mega-cut until 2018.
@1ehw I know of multiple teams let go already this year. Doesn't mean something is coming, but they likely now know to take small actions. Project cancelled? Fire the team. It's the new norm.
No... what will happen..... nothing has happened since the last layoff and nothing stiring at ANY site .. so I think that Intel will go on as usual ... like always ....as always...
