How do we get more HAH folks on this site?

The more info we have the better?

At this time there's more speculation and rumors being spread then facts. I would say if you're worried about your future at Humana, start looking now. It will give you more control over the situation and more time to find a position that you find desirable in works for you and your family.

Why's that? Because the employee is willing to share what the severance package is? Why be so hush hush about it. Knowledge is power, right? Why not give others a little peace of mind?

I can see why one employee was cut.

I am one of the ones that was cut. I don't mind sharing.

We get two weeks pay and benefits for every year completed with a minimum of 4 weeks severance. So, if you've been here two years or less, you get 4 weeks. Each completed year beyond that is 2 additional weeks.

While I get that you don't feel you "owe" and explanation to anyone, none of us who have not (yet) been impacted feel you do either. We are all afraid for our jobs and grasping at any crumbs of information to prepare ourselves as we can.

Best of luck to you.

Your information is incorrect. Severance is not one month paid for each year worked. It is less than that.

I'm certain this is round 1 of many, so I think they are just trying to plan ahead for themselves, not feel better about the situation. Most people realize the situation is not good for anyone. Lost left either get stuck with 3x the work or get cut the next round, and it's just nice to have some insight into this 'transparency.' There are no good situations here. I've heard severance is a month pay for each year worked.

I was one of the "impacted" workers. Yes, we were offered a severance package. Other than that I feel like you have no right to know what's going on. While it was a big corporation decision it feels very personal. As a person on the short end of the stick I don't feel like I owe you an explanation and details of what is happening, so you can feel better about the situation.

To get more to this site, perhaps each one of us should tell a co-worker who can tell a co-worker who can tell a co-worker, etc.

Though it won't save jobs, at least we can stand united and support each other.
