You are talking about 1000-layer network, and above. More, this kind of networks have a very distant resemblance to binary computing, where Intel has some upper hand, so it is not a fact that profess in silicon engineering will put Intel into any better position. To get even small understanding of "topological" computing you really need to get through a couple of fundamental mathematical disciplines of extraordinary complexity, which are taught by just few people in the world, and not in North America. So, dream on.

Also that autonomous car fleet company can be seen as replacement for 2nd car (considering savings for family budget) is interesting (gateway for adoption). So I see the "money" now and understand more the technology race we are observing.

ADOPTION ISSUES ARE HUGE AND MUCH OF IT IS GENERATIONAL.

YOUNG ppl are not married to cars. Also older ppl are moving away from cars. Cant renew licenses, my Dads case got him a Uber account....cheaper, safer...he loves it and he has freedom....change is always hard until people die or change. Real TCO is high just look at garage, parking space. Six spaces in USA for each driver.

5 People or more general society must be ready to use AI.

The "problem" with AI is not technology but people.

5a. When you say car many think freedom... Autonomous car is against it...

5b. Autonomous cars are safe enought even today under condition that there no human drivers/pedestrians.

5c. What happens when car warranty ends? Does insurrance company will let you use your autonomous car?

5d. Who is the owner of the data captured by car: video / audio - everything will go to cloud. Can we disagree?

OP don't confuse automation versus intelligence, machine learning has a long way to go before achieving intelligence.

AI hasn't advanced at all! All that has advanced is computation and storage and clever scientist and marketers to build their empires of waste.
