HCMSS will take the Low members, and the RN will take the Medium and High. They are going to a medical model of care, so the RNs will have to address social service needs while the HCMSS will have to address "low-level" medical needs for members on their rosters. I believe this was brought on by the bad CMS audit, and exacerbated by the merger not going through. Not that HCCs weren't doing their job, but maybe CMS said they should have licensed associates doing the work? All very poorly managed, and my heart breaks for those who lost their jobs. I don't feel safe and am looking for something else, because I hear we will be on auto dialer, all day every day, which is no way of building relationships with members or having a moment to take care of your own wellness. Used to love my job, now I'm just here to pay the bills.

On SNP dialer we were instructed to not refer to HCMSS anymore, that we were to utilize CRD. Yes because that solves EVERYTHING! Lets just look past the fact that Social work degree and nursing degree are completely separate specialties. I can't wait to see CMS reaction to this!
The HCMSS do a wonderful job (mostly) with helping the members. I would hate to see that go away - especially for the medium and high ones who are the one's that need the help. HCMRNs will not have the time needed to research and help them as they need if this happens.
