I have a hard time believing that SM did not know about the Apple lawsuit. Qualcomm withheld $1B worth of rebates to Apple and I am sure Apple told Qualcomm of the consequences. Good business practice would have been to settle the issue or give Apple the rebates. Instead Derek, George, and Steve decided to fight and as a result wipe out $25B of shareholder value. IMO the lawsuit will likely result in a significant modification to QTL's business model.

You are wrong I think QC should pay this management a much larger retention bonus compared to what they paid few years back. After all QC would not want to lose such talent.
SM should be fired long time ago.. Disappointed
I'm guessing if they had given the rebates, Apple wound't be challenging the business model, which will hurt the QC stock more in the long run.
