Only in America do we have the freedom from persecution, for which people of all color, gender, religion have near equal opportunities to do well in this country, which is a direct function of how willing each of us are willing to invest our time and energy in self improving our own abilities, skills, and finances.

@btc: Freedom of speech shows all the positive and negative aspects of country. Going forward one can hope increase the positiveness and reduce negativeness.
I'm from India. Negatives hidden is far more difficult to handle, when exposed first reaction of people is "shocked what have we turned into". But they don't realize we have all along like this, only with things hidden under the carpet.

We still have legacy of slavery, rape. Let's not forget Genocide in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos by US soldiers (3.5 mm, 1.5mm, 1mm) TURNING AWAY Jews during WW 2. Burning black little girls at Church.Lots of other things as well. But I agree we have done better than others. But have had more wars then anyone else. Pray current pagans in White House reform soon.
