So it's all over news, another 1000 jobs to be cut soon. That's in addition to 2000 people that Weatherford already let go last few months. And I somehow doubt it will be the last round of layoffs this year.

Manufacturing is fixing to take another gruesome hit-- just an early warning:: start hunting for jobs on the regular basis. Myself included is looking for other opportunities. The job market is flooded in the greater Houston / Dallas area due to the mass of persons effected by the Industry as not just oil and gas gets strained but other entities are hit as well. Restsurants, housing, hospital, outside constituents and very many others are involved in this loss that are looking for jobs along side us. The roll over in so large its overwhelming. Houston alone is looking at 550-600 more being let go. Engineers, Area Managers, and hourly are being stressed to the limit as to whom can be kept if any st this point. Look for mergering of work efforts and more than one hat to be worn by many and it's a flop deal if you can't wear the hat your in the line to go.
Manufacturing can not lose anymore people without just closing the door and locking up.
I am in a very safe position things are picking up so the worst is over. New boss that will protect us from the unemployment line.
It's a good thing that business is picking up. What a great opportunity to maybe get a package and start working with the competition.
The 1,000 jobs will be coming from facilities they will be shutting down or from the management level. I'm sure their ratio of worker bees to queen bees is still out of alignment to the competition.
