Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Layoff HCM RN

Are there going to be additional layoffs for nurses? I know they have moved teams around, wondering if we can still be let go. This entire situation is causing me increased levels of stress and anxiety. I have a household that depends on my income, and I hate being left in the dark. Everyday I come to work expecting an email from MF or ER. I have had a constant headache for the past week and I am hardly eating. I hope if management is reading this you would please have some compassion and let us know! My husband is also stressing out b/c we scheduled our lives around this at-home position. To the higher ups: Please let us know something soon, this is difficult for all HAH employees!

This is just one example of thousands of the nurses who are "killing themselves" for this 'fantastic work at home position'. When will this company just look at the medications their employees are on!!! Look at the number of antidepressants and counseling sessions they are paying for FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES!!! I loved my job when I first started....I felt I was truly helping others. When all the "new" computer programs started to change and the orientation was just "push push push", I soon wondered how much longer I would continue to be a good employee. I soon became what Starbuck's calls a BURNT BEAN!!!! I gave 110% all day every day. I tried - but when the chest pains started and sleepless nights were a part of my existence I knew I had to make a decision and leave. It was hard to leave the paycheck and benefits, but I found a way. I pray for those that are "stuck" working with this company and feel there is no way out. I think it is Humana's loss. When will they come to realize they will soon lose the very thing that is keeping them together - their employees!!!!!

Is that just the Care managers, or the social workers or anyone who is going to be using cgx 2?

My coach was one of the impacted people, she told us privately before she left that HCM's will be laid off in april. Lay offs will be based on metrics she said. They are waiting to see how many people quit on their own as well as letting transitioning to cgx 2.0 be completed to know the number of people they "need" to let go.

As I've experienced a lay off from a large corporation in the past. These things usually happen in waves, so with the first wave happening this first quarter I wouldn't be surprised if the next one happens within the next 3 months after the first severance wave is paid. Also, they make it pretty miserable for you during this transition so that you quit before they pay out severance. There are other opportunities out there- stay positive and strong people!

I think they would like some of us to quit by their treatment of us but RN's are their money makers. I think they are waiting for RN's to quit then let go of more coaches so hang in their if you can!

Hopefully someone will give a darn and let us know something. Complete silence from all of them. Usually they are sending an email about something. Nothing since last week. A group of cowards. All of them from the president down. Everyone is jumping on MF but what about ER? He's the president of this sham division. All of them are a bunch of gutless cowards.

Even if you heard from the upper levels that there were not going to be more layoffs- would you believe them? I know I wouldn't. I have whiplash from trying to keep up with all the changes here.

I have no insider info but have heard CMS wants RNs. So hoping if this is true, then rns should be secure.
