Target team will face major cut from SD. Most of targets are QIPL driven, so hiring is done there to cut from SD.
pre silicon teams from all departments in SD will be cut by half or totally eradicated.

i got my package last year. it was for 12 years which was enough for me to live without job and without savings for 1 year easily.
i found job next day with joining bonus as my exit package. so it was double benefit.
best part of whole episode: i got rid of arse hole manager and now i realize i was not having any life when in qcom.
working in qcom, if you are young , is like committing professional suicide.
work culture is so toxic. non technical people are getting promoted. those who are working and technical are shown doors, accussed of wrong things in review feedback.
i think its lucky to get fired and make some money instead of living pathetic life.
As such there is nothing interesting left in QCOM.
same old projects, same kind of work, mostly cut paste nothing new. no enhancements to skills.

Ask Unity folks in Boulder if this news is wrong ... who are r doing knwoledge transfer to QIPL engineers.
Ask QSWAT folks who are training QIPL engineers before they will be thrown out.
Ask target team enginners who are looking for jobs outside because they will be thrown this September once they train QIPl team.
This company is now based in false promises by upper management, is based on lies by VPs. HRs are just dignified wh--e so pardon them for their cheap habits.
Many senior people on my team went to QIPL this week.
Best part is they are trying to force us to train our replacements. Why don't we outsource some of this management function? Many managers are just status collectors anyway.
