Store employees- have you seen a noticeable drop in footfall in the last 6 months and do you know if your store is actually making any money?

And remember, the customers you see are the ones stupid enough to pay the premium Craftsman price for Chinese crap with the Craftsman name (crudely) stamped on. Imagine what the smart consumer thinks.

It seems to get slower by the day. The new system of credit app quotas based on the day and the department haw made work even more depressing. Simple statistics: ask everyone and eventually someone will actually be intreated. Of those intrested 1/3 will not have or know their social security number, 1/3 will not have a valid id and 1/3 will be able to complete the application process. I am in tools, most of my customers want nothing to do with credit cards and less traffic the harder it is to get apps. It also seems like a lot of the people I am seeing are loosing faith in Sears. It is hard to sell PAs on power tools when 20 minutes ago they were trying to pump you for information about when the accross the board liquidation sales will begin. The public is taking notice and customers are losing faith.
