Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Nothing consistent in this firm anymore

Nothing is consistent across the board I switched from one team being able to combine my lunch and breaks to another team saying it's not allowed. How and why?!?!? I can't even change my work schedule to start early. No issues with other teams doing so. Metrics are unrealistic. Majority of workers are stressed when they're not meeting metrics. What happened to Humana's flexibility/ and taking care of there employees. I now believe all this company cares about is Numbers and that's IT. One team is not able to use an hour of there well being time on fridays b/c numbers are starting to drop across the board and he doesn't want this to affect his teams numbers. I was baffled when a coach preferred that u take the whole day off instead of half b/c they didn't want u to mess up your metrics. Really use more PTO b/c u basically want your teams metrics looking excellent and not considering the needs of the employee. I feel like a robot some days...mind u I have a major headache at the end of the day

This is a repost from another thread, someone else wrote this, but it explains how I feel exactly, so I copied it.

Yes have to take whole day off and use PTO even for an appointment that may only take an hour. Just to have the numbers. Unfair employer/ employee practices.

That's unfortunate! I love fridays because of combining lunch and wellbeing time. And taking half days. Have you reached out to HR4U? My understanding is as long as you are meeting your requirements you're entitled to use your wellbeing or PTO as you choose, you just can't use wellbeing to end your day

When you all are asking your coaches why the metrics are being increased again if you are not able to even meet the current metrics, what reasons are they giving you all for the increase? It may not be that coaches aren't listening or caring, it may just be that they are getting the same if not more pressure than telephonic staff. They may be hearing us, but they just may not be in a position to influence change.

Agree, it is a very robotic illogical system! Whats with the metrics? Do other insurance companies treat their telephonic RN's this way I wonder? And why isn't management at ALL listening or caring about what we think???
