Heard that hardware support and operations just had layoffs this morning. Impacted groups seem to be materials planning, backlog management and logistics.
This was expected as part of the earlier RIFs for SPARC and Solaris. No headcount yet.

New college graduates were not immune from today's RIF. Was told that three were let go. That's pretty cold to take someone aboard and lay them off before they can even get 1-2 years under their belt.
I was laid off today in SCA along with my manager and entire team under him. 5 total. There were others on other teams as well.
