They have you where they want you....knowledge of ongoing layoffs, massive amounts of work, and fear that if you aren't viewed as valuable you will be cut. So what do you do? Work your #@% off to try to protect your income even though you should be looking for a new job.

They look at age (over 50) and whether you kiss your boss's a--. Not only that, the leads are ready to throw you under the bus to save their behind. Manager's don't care.

I suspect that this is the first wave of layoffs, and they will likely continue for the rest of the year. There are people who are still dedicated to projects, and they will get pink slips when those projects end. Hard to lay off 5% or more of the work force simultaneously without negatively impacting operations so they will probably stagger them over time.

If you were laid off, were you told if you could apply for other positions?

That is bs..,your team has tbe work and you promised a promotion. What a mismanaged group.

I am one of them. Clearly my team was explained the work for the whole year, but the reason on my separation package said 'lack of work' which was ridiculous! And I was promised a promotion. When that was the case, how would I be in the bottom 5%?? Absolutely no loyalty for employees! Just your years with fiserv and your pay play the biggest role! The rest that are still with the company are least motivated at this point!

Sounds like managers were recently asked who their expendable people were. I am wondering if they always have a list of the bottom 5%. I former employer utilized a 9 box theory to rank employees against each other.

I'm so sorry to those affected. Cuts seem to focus on particular departments like digital channels. Anyone else out of that 155 from other departments? Is severance still at 2 weeks for every year of service? What was the lay off process like in Alpharetta?

I was laid off on 2/15.

Would I go back, no way. Fiserv is run by accountants, every employee is just a number on a spreadsheet to them. Who you are and what you contribute don't matter at all. If you are in the wrong group or report to the wrong person, you will be tossed aside no matter how good you are.
