Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

WTH?

So how screwed is this company when you have Tier 3 managers going around telling workers on Government contracts that it doesn't matter how many hours you clock to the WO as long as your Utilization numbers are good?

I agree. This is BS that HON rates us on how many hours we worked. Not legal for salaried employees. In other words if they tell us something is mandatory but then ding us in a review for putting down hours to perform their mandatory tasks that sounds highly illegal to me. If they want to fuss about hours they need to pay us OT. You don't get your cake and eat it too.

Here is my complaint with the DOD IG - anyone can add evidence if you have some.

Best of luck.

I have a similar situation where we were forced to direct change programs for what should have been general allowable and were instructed to do the work in 15 minute increment to justify rolling the charges to government contracts. I am now retired, but I am willing to testify. Who or what is the right government organization to contact?

I am confuse here, vyt....you mean people on government program should have low yield? Shouldn't it be the opposite as Honeywell gets paid for every hour they work?

Agree with qtn even more so, unless you are part of the problem. Even if you are, report this now because whistleblower protection is strong although in the end such people don't go on to greater things usually. But, under the right circumstances, the WB can collect some serious money if the fraud is widespread and the govt. prevails. If you are serious, don't wait. All that said, if the hours are in fact legitimately chargeable, then that is legal. Before I retired and there was too much work, we were given priorities about what to work and many govt contracts were high priority.

You will actually have more credibility if you are not a former "disgruntled" employee. You should look into whistle blower protection and pursue this if you have real information regarding fraud or violations.

We all know Honeywell is commuting fraud in government contacts by demanding its engineers charge at least 44 hours per week and pressure them to keep a low yield. This is systemic fraud and can't wait to leave so I can tell the government without retribution.
