Sadly nursing is exempt. The law very clearly states that nurses can be forced to work unpaid OT if in a salaried position.

I am not a nurse but I asked my attorney if nurses are exempt and he felt very strongly that he could make a case that they are not. He is in FL and I understand that nurses are salaried but that doesn't mean that you have to work 60 hours a week at a 40/week rate. If you have any question I would encourage you to seek an attorney about your hours and the parameters of exempt status.

Sadly,if you don't play the game you will not only pull yourself down but also your team. And the bottom teams were laid off. Not necessarily bottom players just overall teams. So lots of pressure to stay on top. MF is not dumb. He knows most of us will get those numbers for not only ourselves but your team. I know I've read where people have consulted lawyers but I'm not sure Humana is breaking any laws. Salaried employees can and do work OT with no compensation. You can look it up. It's legal. Maybe not ethical but legal.

If you end up working over, and not getting paid for it to get some arbitrary metric, that one of the these failures like MF themselves could never dream of doing, please document and keep records.

I lawyered up to get my OT and I will assist anyone else who's getting taken advantage of like I was.

Metric changes daily based on people who have no life, are overachievers, and will work 12 hours a day or more to stay on top. Metric today is 10-13 successful contacts a day depending on who your coach is. God help us!

HCM SS will manage low acuity members. They will have surveys not assessments. That is how they can do that according to CMS guidelines. I don't know how the HCM SS's are credentialed, but if they all are mastered prepared, this is within the CMS guidelines.

Wow. Hmm can they teach members how to manage COPD Or HF? I thought they are to keep members out of the hospital and manage disease process at home. Good luck with that .
