Told HR made our managers move lots of block 5s to block 6 to save money.

Band 4 is either a manager or a higher level individual contributor such as Principal Engineer or higher. Once Band 4 you are also eligible for the annual Management Incentive Plan (MIP).

What is difference between band 3 and 4?

Is band 4 mean managerial post?

@LXIcSHL-yxm Promotions can be that high, especially when moving up bands. I was a band 3, moved into a band 4, and I got a 59% raise. It's rare, but it happens. Then I moved far, far away from Honeywell.

From what I've seen 1.5% was the number at a block 5 rating. I've seen a couple of 10%+

Raises are capped at 15%. You wouldn't get 15% unless it was some combination of a promotion, merit, or adjustment (too far out of market range)
