Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

What are the steps to be considered for severance packages through voluntary separation? I've heard rumors about a RIF on March, is this true?

Career support is a misnomer. You get a bunch of internet resources to do it all on your own (links to websites, videos, etc.) so don't expect much by way of assistance with career planning or getting another job!

What? I haven't heard of it even as a rumor. Are you trying to start one?

Do they offer any career coaching or outplacement help after a RiF ?

You get the RiF volunteer form from HR, fill it out and give it to them. You don't need supervisor approval to volunteer.

But your supervisor will be informed during the RiF selection process, so you might as well tell him that you're doing this so it won't be a surprise. At least that's what I did.

Talk to HR without informing my supervisor? I thought I had to get supervisor green light and then talk to HR.

You must "apply" for the VRIF through HR. If approved, you will recieve the approved severance package in the books at that time.

Not heard of any RIF due to the mass exodus of employees and the thought more will be leaving after the MIP is given as part of the HPD.
