Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

RimMan was right!

My pa RimMan was right as usual, he said in early Jan, there wood be no layoffs or furloughs, plus raises would be given to all! Also like he said stock skurocketing! All you naysayers also think there will be a change in our pension, not so per pa. Scuttle heard on the Rimis it is staying the same. Let us all ban together durring this visious time of hate! signed Rim Boy.......

I was inv RIFD on Jan 3rd. It took me 3 weeks to find a job, with essentially a 42% pay increase and incredible benefits. Being RIFD from HON was the best thing that could have happened to me

Oh yea another HOS cost cutting measure ( ie get rid of old folks). They want you to put all your tribal knowledge in procedures/processes so theoretically a zombie can step right in and do your job. The problem is there is always one little hiccup that stops the machine. By then the old guy is gone and the new guy is left scratching his head due to no training

You may not have a choice. RIFs are random. Someone up high decides what jobs they can do without, how much cash they need, and the word comes down right or wrong, If it includes a group you are in, you likely go. If you are not picked, you are lucky, not talented. Very little to do with how hard you work. Politics do matter. And how much you make - the higher pay the bigger target on back. The decision makers are looking at spreadsheets, not who does the work. A goal of HOS is that anyone can do the work, you don't need the high pay process experts.

To the posting of "To the posting of..."

Did you miss the part where I was being sarcastic and even pointed out how ridiculous it sounds? I was trying to make a point to everyone on the "paid troll" witch hunt.

To the posting of "All you people posting bad stuff about the company- you're all paid competitor trolls!"-listen up cowboy, I am not a competitor troll, just a hardworking former Honeywell employee that got shafted because I didn't play the good ol' boy game!

It's funny how anyone with anything positive to say MUST be a paid company troll. That there's no way anyone could possibly be happy working for Honeywell.

All you people posting bad stuff about the company- you're all paid competitor trolls! See how ridiculous it sounds when you're on the receiving end of it?
