Who is the idiot that thinks the sales people skills are how to negotiate?
Sales at Honeywell do not close deals.
These new sales people are begging us to introduce them and saying "tell me everything you know and I will help you" what BS
These new sales people are worthless and will not get us any growth, you ever see tech sales or any other person at the negotiation table?
That make promises the proposal and execution team can't keep
Lots of bitterness.
Good sales folks can sell almost anything. It's about knowing how to negotiate. Most will put in the time to learn enough to be able to sell.
Will it be tough. Yes
Will there be struggles. Yes
But is it a good sign that the company is investing in attempting to bring in growth. Yes
Are our products the best. No.
But are we still a 30bn+ company. Yes.
Because sales is just sales, right? Computer chips are the same as aircraft systems (sarcasm). Just like someone with an MBA can run ANY corporation?
People from Intel will feel right at home at Honeywell with a corrupt organization, with lesser benefits. From one snake pit to another!
Selling EPIC C---pit systems and mechanical systems. Honeywell does not realize that selling product you refuse to support or will not deliver on time is impossible.
What are they going to sell?
This is common also with Oracle sales guys most who haven't been good for 10 years.
