Cover your cams with duct tape and mute your mics. Professional peeping toms and bullies are watching your every move. And for goodness sakes make sure you're covered up! Some executive perv might be leering down your blouse!

Calm down. This has ALWAYS been the case if you read your ethics testing with any employer. IM's can and have been pulled by management to show loss of productivity and emails, its company property. . IT does have a department that screen shots all day to make sure you aren't shopping all day on company time but also for the shady people that work next to you that are illegally adding family to plans with in the system and overriding reply codes. And for the super smart ones that work on the phones all day long, that just don't get your incoming personal phone call IS being recorded along with screen shots of your computer to verify you are working correctly to what your phone conversation is. That's called QA. I've seen men cheating on their wives working in CS giving their GF.s the toll free number to call in. That's also called stealing. But they also were overriding Class two drugs to refill early too. You need to read all the apps on your personal cell phones to see all that permission you have given access to instead of worrying about your employer. Seriously. And I'm sure you are the same ones that have an Alexa in your home and thinks it's "neat" but have no clue it IS recording 24/7. But don't mind me, Alexa isn't giving you a biweekly paycheck either.
Dont do stuff on work time that you shouldn't and unplug your computer when you're done. Problem solved. Who cares who is watching if you are doing the right thing?
The executives are staring down our blouses? Come on! You just cracked me up with that one. This site is starting to make me paranoid. Maybe we should just settle down a bit and see what happens. Our political climate is changing and obviously, we will have to change with the climate. We have always done this as health care professionals. Maybe we should just calm down for a week or two and give changes some time to work. You guys are scaring me now. Stop! Just stop!
We were told at our training that these things are watchable, Humana owns the equipment and what is done on it is 'theirs". We were told and are still told, calls are recorded, as is every keystroke, etc....now that we're on skype, all the ims are recorded, too. Do they have the ability to watch 50,000 people daily for a peep show, no? But your cell phones and your personal computer have the same capacity to be recording devices for others. So, cover your camera, and turn off your computer mic.
This is COMPLETELY accurate. They monitor every word in team messaging, every email, every movement you make at your computer-regardless of your knowledge of the camera and mic on, every website visited, every google search, etc. Beware.
Wonder how long they are recording you? Are they recording all your conversations during your off time since it is in your home?
Do you really think your mic turns off in a Humana issued device. LOL
Everyone moon at the camera. Done deal.
Still doesn't make it ethical.
Can't help you if you didn't realize there was a camera and microphone on your computer that you didn't know to turn off. Management will now probably see this and make it a rule to have them on at all times. Just wait for it...
At least in a hospital you are made aware of it.
If you went to work at any other office or hospital there would be video surveillance. Your home is your office when that computer is on and you should not be surprised that the video and audio can be monitored. I feel bad for the new hires and other unsuspecting souls who are lured into the WAH trap thinking it promises great work/life balance.
They don't have funds to keep staff that are helpful but they have money for IT pervos to peek in at us. Lovely!
Sickening. This company is hell. Members run!!!
I received the information straight from my coach. Supposedly, since it is their equipment, they are allowed to do this. I don't agree with it, and wish there was a way to sue for invasion of privacy. What if I want to get up and do stretches in between calls and oops something is inadvertently revealed on camera? I feel violated.
Is this true? That is really freaky. But I don't know if that is really happening...If they are recording or spying on us without telling us the same way we have to tell our mbrs call is being recorded.... I suspect if they do this and use it against any of us they would be in huge huge trouble. How do you know for sure this is true/ Please dont say names or where you work just wondering if you have it from a reliable source?
