Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

I had just gotten back from leave and I was part of the Lay Off.

I was only back to work for a few short weeks and still under the care of one of the great "Centers of Excellence" and I was part of the Lay Off Tuesday. I guess this is Lowe's way of avoiding having to pay any further medical bills or it's their way of telling me they have paid out too much already!

I am very sorry. I know of several people at corporate with medical issues and cancer or other health problems they let go. They purposely target struggling families I feel.

Corporate greed and home depot is all the ceo cares about.

I was let go after 15 years....all that I gave was for nothing.

Not sure how many people will see this. But I was also let go " layed off" after just coming back from leave for cancer. I also know if two other asms let go . Same thing. One was out with cancer , the other back after a two month coma. Different store than mine. I would love to hear from others , tbis seems to be a trend with the latest lay off.

I found the care under the Centers of Excellence program to be fantastic. Only issue I had was in follow-up care, which is covered by normal insurance benefits. I spent a lot out of pocket, only to be laid off four months later. The company does not truly understand how to take care of their employees.

Folks laid off last year (I presume IT folks) were gone three months before Christmas and most of those are still unemployed. I heard that many of those IT jobs went to their Bangalore center in India. I wish Mr. Trump could bring back those jobs.

Chances are, they will find a loophole to keep from paying bonuses to those laid off Tuesday. Why not just drop the bonus program altogether and save everyone's job.

I'd rather take a pay-cut and remain employed.

Sorry that you have to go through this.

I hope you land on your feet and that you will be able to look back one day when you are at a better paying job that you love, and realize this was a blessing in disguise.

My heart goes out to you, and I wish you nothing but the best.
