I had my HON exit interview this morning and Friday is officially my last day.
Also was told that the non voluntary RIF will happen on Friday, 1/6.
2 people on the team were accepted for voluntary RIF. The others will be let go on Friday.
No replacements for RIF'd staff, looks like everyone will need to do more with less and have no paid vacation. Best of luck to all, you are going to need it!
The RIF happened the day back from Holiday shutdown 1/4. We were told if you were still working that day you made it and were not in danger of being let go unless they did another RIF. We lost 2 people from our team. They did the sh--ty shoulder tap approach and informed their managers a few minutes before it happened.
I was a non-voluntary, and was let go on Tuesday from DV.
It appears that the volunteers are being treated better than they were a year ago, when they were give a box and walked out along with the non-volunteers. However, looking back on that demonstrates how little consideration is being given to people's self-respect or feelings or whatever. I know -- duh.
I was RIF'd last year on Jan 6th. Best of luck to everyone being RIF'd. I'm so sorry you will be going through this. I put over 8 years into what I thought was an amazing company. I always enjoyed going to work. Now, I merely have a job that pays the bills, no longer enjoying working. What a shame that a company does this to people. Good luck to you all!!!

That's a bit different than the September RiF. I was a volunteer for that RiF. Non-volunteers were actioned on Tuesday. My exit interview was the following day with the option to stick around until that Friday.

Is this for all sites or some specifically? It seems other sites have already went through non-voluntary RIF's...
