Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Wireless changing store reps attire

Anyone know why wireless is changing away from the red grey and black clothing to more blue unbranded clothing ? Is there a method to the change?

Company Owned Store changing to an AR = Layoffs for Verizon retail employees.

How does this tie in anyway to layoffs? That doesn't make sense

@oew - I know. I helped create the lands end program back in 2013. The VZ branded attire was only to be used in company owned stores. It can't be used by agent locations under any circumstances. Including company owned stores that will become agent locations. Make sense?

@bmn - your right. Legally, your an at will employee. Which means you can dump Verizon and Verizon can dump you without cause. Your not protected. And you don't have to work for an AR.

But wouldn't working for an AR be better than being unemployed? Think about it.

If you trying g to argue with me why VZ should keep its own stores, your barking up the wrong tree. And the gravy train is over.

Employees work for vzw direct not an AR , there is no legal way that vzw can force employees to start working for an AR its a completely different company even if they close direct locations.

The method is why blow money on attire when your going to turn the store into an AR anyways.
