very very sad. i know people who had their job eliminated today. all managers were told today about the lay off today and it seems the company has a system in place for talent analysis of managers and mtm's.
what happened to hr services??????

Thanks for sharing your experience, kch.
.
Not sure.
Still can't believe
So all mtm and sm are gone?? Interview process?? I am not sure what is going on but I think they just need to tell people if they are out or not. We all know that whoever that want to stay will, those they want out will be let go. They are really dragging this out.
What do you meam field reps?
Thanks for the reply Anonymous. I feel a little better. Not much, but a little. I had the same thing happen to me at Babies R Us. After 11 years as a Dept Supv, I was called in out of the blue and told my job was eliminated. Take part time or get out. I almost got out but was offered a job at a store farther away on my very last day. Then I quit all together a few months later and working in an office now. I don't miss walking on egg shells thinking about my job getting cut anymore.
Current MTM's are all on the chopping block. It will be released on a case by case basis. They will reinterview all SM's and MTM's and take who they feel is the best. Stores that have NOT closed will have reductions also... Just hasn't been announced yet.
What is the realignment you wrote about? My wife is the bread winner of our family and she is an mtm. She is not in a closing store but I'm worried about these 10,000 layoffs. Any news on current MTM's?
People in HR and HR Services have not been told that they will be laid off... I believe they are still analyzing the info. Once the realignment happens, everything else will too... The stores and field reps in the stores are the most impacted today.
I got the vibe a lot is still up in the air, and unless you worked in the stores closing or your job was directly with them, you were not informed. (Besides the press release).
January will be a scary month.
