Ottawa lost at least 5 today (confirmed). Possibly as many as 9. They haven't told us all who it was. Only one was voluntary.

Get your copy of the 366-page document and read the cover letter carefully.
I'm sure the numbers are higher than most people realize. Along with my RIF PPW they sent me via Fedex, they also included a 366 page document that listed Job Title, Age, SBU, and Location for everyone they RIFed this time. By some Rough math it was more than 16,500 from across the US.

I left the post I think is being talked about but it doesn't matter whether in Canada or U.S. it is still the same model & likely the taxpayers are subsidizing it somehow. Otherwise, they it wouldn't be so profitable for them to do it that way!

My post wasn't even Honeywell related. Bad laws allow companies all over the US to do what they are doing and screw us all over. This isn't site specific.

The government, both Republican and Democrats have failed this country for a long time. Sh-- laws allowed this to happened and time again and again no one did crap about it because the corporate elite was making massive profits. In time this country will be a 3rd world sh--hole with the corporate elite at the top separated from the non existent middle class and those living in poverty.

Bring in foreign "resources" subsidized by U.S. taxpayers while denying jobs to Americans. Trained by Americans. All expenses written off HON's taxes. While most money received by said "resources" is sent to their own country to be spent there. Bill the foreign subsidiary in a way that skirts taxes in both countries, then park that money in overseas bank accounts with no taxes payed anywhere. Any technology these people know about is then officially overseas and can now compete with our own nation's own business interests and jobs. How "Patriotic" of a defense contractor like HON.

Yet, there are several more Brno, Beijing and Hyderabad engineers coming to spend the next ~4-6 months in Ottawa. To "help" with all the work we have that we cannot do ourselves. This is not to mention the 3 (confirmed) new student full time hires starting in March.
