It's clear by now (Jan 6th) that something big is going on in North American sales (RG, JO, SA) Hundreds of people have been laid off every day/week in every department, whether you are in Apps, Tech, Hardware...
Major org heads have left or have been made to leave. New compensation plans are being issued, commissions are late and inaccurate.
Typically this only happens in June and December, but who knows when this rolling austerity will end!!
Why would any HW sales rep would even want to work for Oracle? Oracle HW is way overpriced compared to Dell or HP. Oracle support is no better, it's in Romania. Oracle is better off spinning off the HW division and focus on DB and Apps.

i am the original poster and i am a source from within the company. I have been monitoring this for months and can answer virtually any question you have, so please ask away :)
based on evidence i see with my own eyes, and the data you can pull from our corporate directory, it is clear that the following is true:
1) north american HW sales director- fired
2) sparc sales director- left company
3) layoffs on respective HW teams
4) apps org massively restructured and cut in half
5) layoffs on respective apps teams
6) tech org actively shuffling people around to new teams in preparation for something
7) people are receiving retroactive compensation plans with lowered rates- "congrats, you owe us money!"
8) our revenue is still decreasing department by department in our publicly reported 10K filings, yet profit margin is stable
9) oracle states in its 10K that it will spend 500M on severance packages this fiscal year
How true is this?

numbers are growing because NetSuite employees have been added to MH' org. thousands of them
I monitored Aria over December and he lost 1,000 people in expensive countries like USA and Western Europe.
We are being replaced with marketing interns, customer success specialists, BDCs etc who work for half
The raw numbers don't tell the real story
There may be some suffleing there, Some jobs from Santa Clara are moving there that is why the number did not change
But numbers are growing as in total head count. What is this, you are scaring S* out of me.
