Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

VRIFed people cannot be happier to get out of the asylum.

More than 10 people got VRIF at Clearwater within the last couple of days. It is worrisome to lose so much experience, knowledge, and high caliber personnel; in Honeywell fashion, nothing was done to pass down training, know how, or tribal knowledge. After talking with many VRIFed, all share a single emotion, cannot be happier to get out of the asylum Honeywell have become.

@LdZd5QN-cwd: Torrance Heat Transfer dept. leadership (what's left of it) confirmed earlier this week that they don't have a clue. Fortunately there are still a few people left to keep them on the straight and narrow, but not for much longer. Dropping like flies at Torrance.. LoL

It is indeed extremely gratifying to be granted the VRIF, but it is also, equally, extremely disappointing to be denied it, especially after 3 tries. Some have gotten it on their second try, and are very lucky, but your chances are reduced after each try. Sadly, the manipulators are totally lacking in any humanity, to tell you that you do not qualify beforehand, but prefer to offer you the opportunity each time, only to watch you suffer for weeks, before they stick the knife in your back. What unconscionable and disgusting creatures!

I was a long time employee at Honeywell Clearwater. I was surprised and saddened at the rapid demise of the company. I made the decision to pursue another opportunity and left in June of last year. I was fortunate enough to find a new job right when I was told I would be impacted by a furlough. There is a great group of people in Clearwater. It's disheartening to watch the continued actions even from a distance. Best wishes to all those experiencing the quarterly torture that has become the trademark of the "New" Honeywell.

I am a retiree doing very occasional HON work as a contractor. They get the benefit of many years of experience and they throw me a bone every once in a while. It does help with some unanticipated expenses. At least most of this work I do offsite. I imagine that with fewer employees they'll have to dole out more work to contractors?

Talking about company worries on losing experience and knowledge? Baloney!!! Torrance Labs does not worry on that... everyone is dispensable! Who gives a sheit! What is good for the goose is good for the gander as well.

I'm one of those VRIF people that has been doing the happy dance for several days now! I however, stayed on a few days to help clear some things up but believe me when I say I am thrilled to pieces to wash away the soot of HW burning and go work for someone who appreciates the value that I know I bring the the table!

I feel sorry for the ones left behind trying to save a sinking ship with thimbles.

God bless them all!

"It is worrisome to lose so much experience, knowledge, and high caliber personnel; in Honeywell fashion, nothing was done to pass down training, know how, or tribal knowledge" I hate to say it, but nothing will change until things (aero and space) start falling out of the sky. Lack of any knowledge pass down in Glendale has resulted in a sky-rocketing rejection rates, escapes and test failures.

Good point regarding no knowledge flow down.

I know of a person in Phx didn't spend a TOTAL of 5 min. in HR before she was gathering her belongings to leave.

That's not enough time to go over her rights and benifits.

They (Honeyhell) deserves what they get.
