I came across an email (it was in the recycle bin by the printer) that said we would be getting merit raises this year. The email was in the typical memo format that we usually receive, but it had a "rough draft do not send" watermark on it. The email was addressed to "Affected Employees." Anyone have anymore info on this? I quiCkly scanned over it as to not draw attention to myself. I went back to retrieve the email from the recycle bin during lunch time, but I guess some one already pulled it out.

I heard from HR that everyone is getting raises this year (based on reviews/performance like usual). Was told it was going to be used an incentive to encourage employees to stay with the company through the GE merger (silimar to the bonus and Halliburton offer last year). Was told they would be structured different depending on ICP/PIP bonus plan. Maybe the email mentioned above was only meant for one of the groups. Most likely another email for the other group is being sent as well.
Managers are the only ones getting raises, they never took the reduction in pay, also they never lost the matching 401k
Your raise will be enough to buy a couple of new Trojans at Walmart!
Thanks for the info original poster

I figured it would only be the higher up since the email was addressed to "affected employees."
