Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Anyone else think that the 'Doer' campaign is the stupidest thing in the history of Chevron?

I don't know about all that but it would be nice if they respected the fact that historically those types of policies have failed worldwide.

These extreme liberals are diehard socialists. They need to be marginalized and discredited, one by one.

Many of these responses are from liberal snowflakes who still can't handle that Hillary lost and Donald Trump if President of the United States! Seriously, they can't handle it.

Just so management understands... When THEY begin to lead, everyone else will follow. That's what leadership is all about, not stupid words on a piece of paper they don't even understand and expect all their direct reports to somehow demonstrate on another piece of paper called the ePMP. That's why Chevron does not lead in anything except incompetence and complacency.

@cbkt, just to make sure everyone understands... "We Lead" (From Behind).

Not to mention the Southern California/Bakersfield version that proudly featured a BBQ restaurant that was conveniently owned by a certain former PGPA employee's family...what a coincidence!

Those ads were approved by HR communications, market g and PGPA. The agencies are in tight with Watson. But if you work at Chevron in marketing in San Ramon (like I do), you'll understand that it's all about fluff, smoke and mirrors and con artists. Doers doing is another ridiculous "spend" to keep our budgets.

Looks like the 'Doer' ads have been yanked. I have not seen one in over 2 weeks. Maybe the marketing survey feedback was really bad. Those ads were so phony with the cartoonish look and the happy music with happy employees. Considering what has happened to the oil industry and the thousands of people who have been laid off/screwed out their jobs, this was probably a big embarrassment to Chevron. Plus, the ad had all these other industries and the super bowl included. It was more of a promo for Texas and Houston - a very unfocused ad.

Doer makes the sponsorship of gymnastics look smart. Go back to Metropolitan Opera.

We caught one during one of the shows we were watching as a family and none were impressed! I would agree Exxon's are better.

Hate the doer campaign almost as much as I hate the new brand standard for ppt

I also think Chevron would do well to switch advertising agencies .... I really do not think the last several campaigns have been on the mark at all (Human Energy, We agree and now Doer). Exxon's ads seem to me to shed it in much more positive light, and I am definitely not an Exxon fan boy!

Sooo.. once they attract those millennials to their workforce, then what? Actually get them to work?

The Doer commercials are so silly. Chevron is not getting their bang for the buck. They need to find another Avertising agency.

Mom, you are the immature and obnoxious one who has lost sight of your low IQ and give your self far to much credit. IF your were ever employed by Chevron, they should have put that decision maker against the wall and executed him/her

another ranting session that does not add any value other than air the same opinions that have been aired over and over again ... and then these same responders are the same ones who rant at others about discussing the same perspective over and over again ... you all need to look in the mirror

'Human Energy' is pretty stupid, but I agree that the 'Doers' tv commercials is silly, childish and cartoonist. It does not represent Chevron in a professional or serious manner and seems to be aimed at millennials. The ad does not show the flag of the USA which is embarrassing, but is totally in line with the PC, multicultural group think of management. Come to think of it, Chevron does not display the USA flag at any of its buildings, but will display the LGBT rainbow flag. Perhaps that flag should have been in the ad.
