Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

no ACT 2.0

there will be no large scale site closures or project terminations.

But the performance side will be managed the same way as BK has done for the last few years. IR, SSL5/4 pack your bags.

I think they are gunshy about a high profile RIF. I think they want to make rapid pruning of the bottom few percent SOP. I heard they are worried about morale so will try to downplay the pruning and be generous with the percieved repeat high performers. Top performance if at or below mid pay grade may get 25% and or moreand or extra stock to encourage retention. I expect BK and top execs are likely to also do quite well as a reward for draining the swamp.

Life remais good for the elite. Joe plumber has to be careful. Nothing new really, it has always been more or less this way in the recent couple decades. One always needs to be a mover and shaker to thrive. Even then if you shake the wrong branch at the wrong time it can spell trouble.

no act 2.0 is correct rest is all fake-- expect 7% to 14% raises...higher annual contribution to the SERP--we want all to get over the past year and feel rewarded ...directive is to go easy on focals across the board. Rejoice we have the dedicated employees ---the .... un needed whiners are gone.

Greetings from Europe! You cannot layoff people here on the basis that they are Bad at their job. Only way is to give the package and hope the employee accepts and resigns himself. Or the multimonth process that might allow you to layoff some.

Long time at grade is not grounds for termination. If meeting average requirements then should be fine. Age discrimination even without age as a direct variable is age discrimination.

To survive, move to these groups, DCG, MIT, IT, IoT. These are BK's favored VPs, so lots of budgets in these groups, so much so that MIT struggles to use up its quarterly budget! IoT slightly falling out of favor with BK, DCG and MIT is big time BK's favorite. MIT is under DO, long ago was TA of BK before she was moved up the chain, so she's a trusted loyal BK ally.

Small scale and "performance-based" layoffs lend themselves more to cementing the current political, dysfunctional management culture and encouraging cronyism than actually fixing what ails the company.

All of my former colleagues are waiting for the next shoe to drop, while trying to justify their existence and survive The Hunger Games.

2-5% IR no CAP just kicked to the curbed with no package.

L4-L5 another 5-7% terminated. Those over compensated or long time in grade are also kicked to the curb with no package.

What a GPTW, got your exit plan all worked out before April?

Pretty much long time in grade is cut again!
