Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Mr Mahoney really?

I know that you thought your meeting last week answered your employees concerns but guess again. We all know this reorg will take 9-12 months minimum before any positives to us (your employyes) occur through new business. Your employees are interested in the next 0-12 months. And because you decided to not talk about the possibility of more RIFs and furloughs in 2017 it solidified in our minds that there will be more in 2017. Now I have lived through several Aerospace downturns in the past but I have to tell you there is a difference this time...trust is non existent. In my 30+ years here I have never seen so many HW emplyees sending their resumes out to other companies. The faith is gone. And unlike in the past the Phoenix job market is booming. I do not know if you want this to happen or not....but everyone at everysite here in Arizona is invoved. Many are currently interviewing and are finding out the pay and benifits are better. I want to make sure you understand....this will be different from the past and will leave a stain on HW for years to come....just like it did for Motorola in the 80s. This includes your mangers. You had your little reorg, shuffled the chairs without letting any VP or Director go.....and even when you speak to them in private you here the same...time to move on. You are tone deaf to your employees and they are desserting you. I hope that was your plan.

I'm giving notice soon, plenty of opportunities out there and I landed a couple. HW I have options, you're not the one for me.

Yes it is intention. The plan is to gut the Aerospace division and improve op margin through RIFs to make it more attractive to sell. Corporate made two attempts last year and failed because operating costs were too high for the potential buyers. They would really care less of the long term outlook and employee morale. Don't give them the upper hand and let them RIF you. No one is safe there anymore. I've seen VPs and entire departments RIF'd so get out while you can under your own terms and timing.

Hahaha you guys. This the intention. They WANT people to quit. They want people to be pissed off enough to quit willingly. This saves them money in severance.

They are watching this site I've been told as much by leadership. One VP even called this site by name regarding Tempe 1207,

Yes they are watching do keep it up.

This really cracks me up. Why people get on here and try to talk to leadership at Honeywell, like they would ever read this, much less care.

The RIFs each quarter have never been to save the company, it is to save their quarterly bonuses, why else would they do it every quarter.

You are all wanting to think Honeywell will miraculously begin to care and save your futures, when they are only interested in the short term, the immediate results, not long term results or long term growth.

Listen carefully the next time anyone in leadership talks, it is always short cycle this, and near term that, all they want is their bonuses and they don't care about you or the Company. They all got enough money to retire tomorrow if the company went under.
