Cisco will not merge with E///. They are flogging a dead horse. 5g pricing will be 1/2 of 4g & upgrades and licensing revenues will never backfill HW based revenues they used to enjoy. Their sales and swedished based business units are vapid and are devoid of critical thinking or strategic thought. The analysts that pimp the 5g revenue bump are equally stupid.

The only things by valuable at E/// is their services capabilities but even that is low margin, albeit, better than anything Cisco could touch or do. We shall see what happens. At least the two aging companies are trying to do something in the face of competition from Huawie, NokiaTel and others. Fact is, telecoms and datacoms is a shxt investment with zero-sum returns.

Ericsson is hiring a lot in India. Ericsson is a Indian company now. They have more Headcount in India than anywhere in the world. The company increased its employee count in India by 15% year-over-year to 21,353 as of June 2016. The company has more employees in India than in Sweden, where it had 17,569 employees.

so more jobs heading towards India as they consolidate all Global roles in India and use Bangalore as Global Headquarters . As demand falls, market disruptions, global slowdown means more jobs to move to india otherwise companies like Ericsson, Cisco, Intel, Dell, IBM, EMC2 cannot survive. Trump has no clue. He can stop H1B's but he cannot stop jobs moving to India. Most of the roles like BU, QA, TAC can be handled from anywhere in the world. They are not country or location specific.
