What is up with Kmart not being able to get Purina? Our pet department looks horrible. Is this temporary? Customers are asking if we are going out of business.

Kmart associates will now be required to grind up their left overs to be converted into pet food and sold under the smart sense brand
Don't know about Purina, but, yes, we are going out of business.

There will be more problems
They probably owe them money, or Purina cut them off in anticipation of a bankruptcy. Many of the things you scan in the RMU say either "vendor production problems" or limited availability, etc. While most companies won't admit it, ALL of them are watching Sears Holdings very carefully to try and avoid shipping merchandise that they won't be paid for.
