Beware everyone, changes are coming. Some full-time positions will now be part-time, and management positions are in jeopardy! Some management positions being eliminated or consolidated. Net result..... REDUCTION IN WORKFORCE! WOW .... just before the spring season begins.

Yep. Lowe's is following the LEAN methodology right over the cliff! Lean's core idea is to maximize customer value while minimizing waste. Simply, lean means creating more value for customers with fewer resources. In this case workers! Cut back until it hurts profits then react by adding additional personal as needed to maintain that profit level.
Dumb a-- ManInTheKnow is a ManWithoutAClue because hours are being cut for PT workers as we type, and they have been cutting them for the last 6 weeks. I know because I live it along with my store and 3 other stores in this northeast Florida town. Record profits in my store = layoffs and reduction in hours. Gotta love the metric morons running numbers in an office and ruining lives in the stores.
They are also letting many PT seasonal positions run out, and advertising for replacements at a lower pay rate - I know because I'm one of them being allowed to "Return to customer" status after 6 months of busting my hump for this sorry business.
And everyone says the Great Recession is over....ha!
Will the test sales managers be considered for the three asm spots?
Headcount: UP
Work Hours: DOWN
Maybe an increase in part-time positions.... but for sure a reduction in full-time positions.
Maybe there will be an Increase in part-time positions.... but reduction in full time positions is happening!
What positions are affected ?
When and how many stores are affected
Not true.
You're going to be surprised that the net result is going to be an INCREASE in personnel in your store.
And ... the layoffs aren't going to be as bad as you think!
