Dell Networking Status? Cisco Partnership Brewing?

Can't sell a product line without people internal and in the field. Heard the EMC storage sales are lower than expected in the channel due to the Dell Networking with EMC push. Partners make more money with Cisco. Cisco + Nimble seems to be the partner push lately. Not enough Dell Networking presence/sales to keep them happy as an alternative. Curious what is going to happen with the product line which is very good.

Only margin in CSCO goes to CSCO.

Cisco was never worried about the Switch business. PowerEdge Servers, VxRail is where all of the heart burn i coming from. This relationship will not be mended regardless of what marketing puts out.

Dell likely makes better margin for channel, but Cisco has more mind share. On the other hand Cisco channel is saturated. If you are a smaller channel partner it must be hard to compete w/o something else in the bag.

Dell might pay more margins but on the back end beat up their sales folks and reduce their commission check and chase more opportunities and make it up in volume. Just like the DSG grp , Dell has killed the F10 lineup

Interesting comment regarding more margin on CISCO - Having worked for CISCO and Dell I would say more $ for partners on Dell
