Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

This will be Lowe's biggest mistake yet!!!

The answer to Lowe's financial problems is the series of Bad decisions made at the corporate level. Buying bankrupt companies, investing in robots to wait on customers, putting 3D printers on the Space Station, LEF, My Lowes Card, etc, etc, etc.

Every scheme they have rolled out has failed miserably. We're not a simple retailer selling clothing. We are selling Home Improvement products and Solutions. 8 out of 10 customers seek advice from the knowledgeable staff we've had until this next scheme rolls out. Part-Time inexperienced individuals with no technical construction knowledge won't cut it.

This will be Lowe's biggest mistake yet!!!

Just another stupid scheme by upper management to thin out the largest drain on THEIR pocketbooks...the employees! When will this end? The top 2% get richer and richer and the rest of us grovel at their feet to fight over the pennies that trickle down to our level. Shame on them!

I have been told that I do an awesome job, but of course I am worried, I have been a DM for 3 years and know my departments inside and out. Every Quarter I receive a customer focus pin, I have over 30 of them now. There are so many other ways to make money... 90 day return policy should be in forced.

I've been with Lowe's for 10 years, and have seen a couple different phases like this before, but to cut this many positions is scary. I'm worried I will be out of a job, and am the only one making money in a household of 3. I help take care of my disabled parents as it is already so I'm always high stress. I'm hoping this isn't as bad as it seems. was hoping the test market failed.

I'm a DM in NJ. I'm nervous as hell to be honest, but I know that I do my job well because of the feedback I've received from my management staff and from my team.

If these changes do occur and I do not make the cut for whatever reason, I know that I have worked hard, gave my best, and earned the respect of my team.

Good luck to everyone else going through this difficult time.
