Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

This is new in qcom.. Till now had seen favoritism in reviews, promotions but favoritism in giving Qualstars ..its too much.

And no surprise, this is done by managers in Gfx hardware org under ED.

Favouritism and descrimination are in the qipl target team....for many years due to 1-2 managers in particular..they go out boozing with team and do lot of favouritism..

In India target team one manager used to give qualstars and taking team for lunches every now and then...he is considered good manager and everyone wants to report to him though he don't do any work..he make sure his reportees gets best rating and this is just like win win for both employees and that guy..in this process other good engineers who work actually and report to other managers will be penalised always..

It goes beyond favouritism, and it is discrimination. You are given the job because you are from certain country, you are considered better performer than other because of your race and nationality, though you can't perform. If this is not called discrimination, what else is? Discrimination is against law

I overheard few Gfx managers talking about ED forcing each team to form a committee which will decide who will get a QStar in that team.

HR , is this policy within code of ethics?

I could not understand why Tiger is still existing and what kind of work is he doing.

For sure he is non technical and has almost 0% knowledge about core Gfx. He is doing mostly project manager kind of work but s---s in that too with no planning and leadership skills.

Why ED needs to pay Tiger and his kinds when he can get same work done by PMs in less salary?

This is not new , Tiger and Bunny are doing this from years. they give undeserved QStars and use that during reviews to present how good candidate is.
