I'm a DM for tools/hardware and I'm on vacation this week. Well i just got the call from HR to come in for a meeting tomorrow at 330... so not looking forward to this, I love my job

I feel you I am the DMIS and on vaca and got called in at 2 tomorrow. Scared as hell I jus bought a car. Lol
Look to give you some peace.. The report said less then 1% will be laid off. They are letting 1-2 ASM's per store and the Department managers are not being fired. We will have a year to find another position.. Relax. If they fired all the DM's not making cut it would be a lot more then 1%. More like 10%. Lowe's can't afford to lose DM's typically they have the most experience.
yep, I got the call too. I was on vacation also. I called another DM from my store who is in another state on vacation, the store manager told him he wanted him to come to the meeting tomorrow but he is 10 hours away. Then he said well call me tomorrow so we can discuss some options with you. Heads up people. What I am hearing is some get fired right away and only 5 become the service managers?? then I here all become service managers and they have to apply for the 5 positions and the others have 1 year to find another job? Not sure what to think though. I'll be fine, thanks to Dave Ramsey! But I have 2 friends who need this job. I'm 3rd generation Lowes. It s---s to see them fail so badly.
