All you intel trolls take a look at what your company provides you! They have profits of billions a quarter and find no value in upgrading you! Any questions about the future growth of the PC?

Haven't bought one since 2006.

Also, when did IT last upgrade your work PC LOL!

Even Intel can't justify upgrades.

Bought a used Mac - after ERP had no many for high dollar toys. Besides, all the processors after Haswell are basically the same...

Purchased 6 PC's. One for every room in the house. You can never have enough PC running on the greatness of Intel processors.

I bought a PC, not for Christmas, but for back to school. It was a high end one.

PCs are an essential item. When need arises, you can't wait till Christmas.

Since intel took my laptop away I bought an open box windows 10 laptop for 289 dollars.

In the last four years three Macs for the kids, but 10 iPhones in that same time.

PCs are essential but need to upgrade is nil... sales will continue to fall for another couple years, OUCH!

Truthfully, I haven't bought one in 4 years. The last one I got was a quad core Mac mini that I triple boot into osx and ubuntu and to a lesser extent windows 10.

It's more than sufficient for me.

I am thinking of getting a top of the line desktop with an AMD Ryzen processor just to support my large position in AMD stock if it's cheap enough to run as a decent media processing transcoder at half the codt..I do a lot of video processing in my spare time.

One the other hand , over the past 4 years I've gone through 12 mobile phones roughly $500-600 a pop. Fortunately, because it's in my line of work, I can expense and or write off most of the cost on my taxes. Dealing with mobile software, I sort of need to keep current with the latest and greatest.

Not I but only because I bought one in May. So I guess for all general purposes, count mine? Unless you're polling people to see if they bought one for someone for Xmas. lol
